Experience World-Class Music in the Heart of the Midwest

Welcome Travelers!

Let us be the first to welcome you as your plan your getaway to Nebraska. Yes, you heard right. Getaway to Nebraska.

Nebraskans pride themselves on their humility (remember that recent PR campaign “Nebraska, It’s not for Everyone?”), but really, there is so much to see and do that it’s very much worth making a trip. In fact, both Lincoln and Omaha make it into the top 20 most livable cities in America Come and see why.

The best reason of all, of course, is the Nebraska Crossroads Music Festival, where you can witness the intimate, the virtuosic, the profound, the hands-in-the-air, and–of course– the dance party, not to mention having opportunity to hear music and meet people from every corner of the globe. Everyone who experiences the festival says “can this really be happening in Nebraska?”

It is. And with a little trip to the Heartland, you can experience it too.

Getting to, from and around in Lincoln and Omaha

Driving

Both Lincoln and Omaha are located right along I-80 and going between cities is not as long as you think! You can get from Downtown Omaha to Lincoln in under one hour. There’s also plenty to see between the two cities, including the Strategic Air Command Air and Space Museum, the Platte River State Park and the Holy Family Shrine.

Parking

Both Lincoln and Omaha have plenty of street parking, which can be used with credit cards, or the passport app. There are also many parking garages located near the downtown venues in both cities.

Flying

Both Lincoln and Omaha have modern and well-connected airports: LNK (Lincoln) and OMA (OMA). Lincoln’s airport is newly renovated, but is somewhat smaller and serviced exclusively by United Airlines with flights to Denver and Chicago. Omaha’s airport is slightly bigger and is serviced by a number of airlines including United, American, Delta, Southwest and others.

Train

Many of our international artists have enjoyed some time before or after the festival taking a trip on Amtrak to see the beautiful plains landscape. Although you may experience a strange departure time, there are good connections to Denver, Kansas City and Chicago. The landscape, however, is worth the trip in any direction. You can see tickets and prices at Amtrak.com.

Uber/Lyft/Bus

Both Lincoln and Omaha have a robust Uber/Lyft scene and it’s an easy way to get around if you’re without a car. However, there is very nice, air-conditioned, and inexpensive bus service in both cities. Star Tran in Lincoln goes directly to all of our venues and has an easy to use app; Omaha Metro in Omaha is also an easy to use service that will get you to and from all of our venues.
