Kinnon Church performs regularly with several of Europe’s leading period ensembles, such as Freiburger Barockorchester, Orchestra of the 18th Century, Concerto Köln, and the Internationale Händel Festspiele Karlsruhe, appearing on numerous recordings and international tours. His continuo playing is strongly influenced by a love of all music, and artists such as John Coltrane or the Punch Brothers, are deep seated in his outlook on music and human connection. Kinnon has also appeared with Südwestdeutsches Kammerorchester, Klangforum Heidelberg, and the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra.
A native of Salem, MA, Kinnon studied historical bass/violone, orchestral bass, and jazz at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt, Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium, and University of Southern Maine. In his free time, Kinnon loves experimenting with filter coffee, trying to speak Russian with his wife, and baking baguettes.
